This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how **Edu Reminder** (“Edu Reminder”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles your information when you use **Notepad - Easy Note Reminder** and any of its features (collectively, the “Mobile Application”).

This Policy explains what permissions we use, how they are used, and your choices. We want to make it clear that our app does not collect, store, or sell your personal information. All your data remains private and under your control.

If you choose to use our Services, you consent to the use of permissions and features as described in this Policy. We do not share or disclose your information to anyone except as explained here.

# Permissions We Use

To provide reminders, to-do notifications, and sync functionality, the app may request the following Android permissions:
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS – Required to send you reminders and to-do alerts at your chosen time.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED – Ensures that your scheduled reminders and tasks are restored even if you restart your device.
  • SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM – Allows the app to trigger alarms and reminders at the exact time you set.
  • WAKE_LOCK – Ensures your device wakes up to deliver reminders and alarms properly.
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE – Supports reminder and alarm functionality when the app is running in the background.
  • INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – Required for synchronization with Google Drive (if you choose to enable sync) and for possible future features like ads or premium subscriptions.
  • BILLING – Required for in-app purchases such as premium packages (e.g., VIP, VIP monthly, No ads).
  • BIOMETRIC / USE_BIOMETRIC – Required to allow users to unlock secure notes using their fingerprint. The app uses this feature only to verify your identity locally and does not transmit or store your biometric data anywhere.

We request only the permissions needed for the app’s main functions. We do not use these permissions for any purpose other than described above.

# Data Collection

Unlike some applications, **Notepad - Easy Note Reminder does not collect any usage data, analytics data, or device-related information** for the purpose of improving or analyzing app performance.
  • Usage Data – We do not collect platform type, device model, clicks, or system data.
  • Log Data – We do not collect crash logs or system logs ourselves. If you enable Google Drive synchronization, the sync process is managed by Google, and we have no access to your Drive data.
  • Biometric Data – The fingerprint feature is handled entirely on your device using Android’s biometric APIs. Your biometric information is never collected, we only use this to see secure notes

# Personal Data

The only personal information used in the app is related to **Google Drive synchronization** (if you enable it):
  • Email address & profile name – Accessed only to display your account inside the app and help you recognize which account you used for synchronization.
  • Google Drive access – Used only to create and update your note backup file (EdureminderBackup) in your own Drive account.
  • No third-party sharing – We do not read, sell, or transfer your Google Drive contents.

Data Protection

  • All your notes, reminders, and checklists are stored locally on your device or in your Google Drive (if sync is enabled).
  • We do not collect your personal data on our servers.
  • Because no data is stored by us, your privacy remains under your full control.

# Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time:
  • Delete notes or reminders directly in the app.
  • If you enabled Google Drive sync, you can remove the backup folder (EdureminderBackup) from your Google Drive.
  • You can request deletion of your data by performing the Delete Account function. Deleting your account will remove all your data (Notes, Checklists, etc.) and revoke access to your Google Drive account. Deleted data cannot be retrieved.

Steps to delete data:
Open the application -> Select Settings -> Select Delete Account -> Confirm deletion

No further data remains with us, since we do not collect or store any of your personal data.

# User Rights

Because we do not collect your personal data, most data rights (correction, restriction, portability) do not apply. You remain in full control of your data stored on your device or Google Drive.

# Children’s Privacy

Our app is designed for general use and does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since we do not collect personal data, children can safely use the app with parental guidance.

Advertisements and Payments

  • Billing Permission: Our app includes the Google Play Billing library to support potential in-app purchases (such as removing ads, unlocking premium features, or subscribing to extra features). While the billing system is integrated, there may currently be no paid features available.
  • Advertisement Permission: Our app includes advertising libraries (such as Google AdMob). While ads may not always be displayed at this moment, the libraries are integrated, which is why Google Play may show the app as containing ads.
  • Current Status: At this moment, the app may run without actively showing ads or offering paid features. However, because the libraries are included, Google Play may still mark the app as having ads and in-app purchases.
  • Future Use: We may enable advertisements, optional premium features, or in-app purchases in the future. If we do so, this Privacy Policy will be updated, and users will be informed before such features go live.
